Kids learn and have fun at the Mens Shed
Each school holiday up to 70 kids attend the Masterton Mens Shed for some fun making things with some guidance from the Blokes at the Shed.
Its about enabling these youngsters (usually aged between 8 and 14) to have a go with a variety of tools and materials to make stuff, some working as a team others its an individual activity all under the watchful eye of the team of Blokes from the Shed who share their wealth of knowledge, skills and experience to ensure the end result is durable and accomplished safely.
The theme changes through trolley carts, rafts, flying machines, and more recently musical instruments were being created over 3 days, and on the 4th day performing as an orchestra. The camera's were rolling (23/7/2013) and the result went to air on Campbell Live, you can view that clip by following the link below.
